A New York Police Officer Jumped into an Icy River to Save a Teenager

Officers from the 32nd Precinct quickly responded to a report of a girl in the icy waters of the Harlem River near 142nd Street. The teenager began to drown, but Officer Wilmer Guerrero dove into the water and managed to catch her.
His colleagues, Ankit Gupta and Shuaibul Amin, helped pull the girl to shore. There, she was covered with a blanket, handed over to paramedics, and transported to the hospital. According to police, she is currently recovering.
