A girl pretended to be pregnant and passed off a doll as her daughter (9 photos + 1 video)
A Scottish woman pretended to be pregnant and even threw a gender reveal party. The expectant father had no idea she was wearing a prosthetic belly. In early October, 23-year-old Keira Cousins announced the birth of Bonnie-Lee, but the baby allegedly died a few days later. It was soon discovered that Cousins had been passing off a doll as her daughter.
At first, Keira posted photos of the newborn. But when she began avoiding family meetings, suspicions grew. She then deleted all mention of the child from social media. She eventually declared the baby dead. Cousins' mother later discovered the doll in her daughter's bedroom.
A source close to the family said: "All of Scotland is talking about it. She brought the doll to work to show her colleagues, but she wouldn't let them touch it. No one doubted her pregnancy. Her mother bought her a £1,000 pram. Her grandmother bought her car seats and other necessities. A cousin from Wales sent her £500.
"She's the youngest child in the family and seemed so innocent. She went to church. I don't know where she is now. They say she's left the country."
"The most beautiful girl (but she's had enough of photoshoots). "Mum and Dad are so lucky..."
A friend of Neve McRobert's spoke out: "You weren't there, you don't know how she behaved, we just thought she was an overprotective mother. And to those who say she needs help, no, she doesn't. She needs prison."
"Where is she now, and what happened to the doll? I feel like a complete fool for falling for it. She must have spent about a thousand pounds on that doll."
Recently, Cousins confirmed that her relatives were unaware of the incident.
"I'm not condoning my actions, but I want to clarify the situation for those involved. Perhaps with time I'll be able to cope with the pain once I get the help I need," she wrote.
