Rolls-Royce during the war: 33 electric Spectres have been registered in Ukraine (4 photos)
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, 33 Rolls-Royce Spectres have been officially registered in Ukraine, the brand's first fully electric car. And this despite the fact that its price in Ukraine exceeds half a million euros.
Spectre is not just an ultra-luxury coupe: it is a symbol of transformation, exclusivity and faith in the future. The manufacturer claims a range of over 500 km, absolute silence in the cabin and impeccable smoothness of the ride - all the things Rolls-Royce has long been famous for, but now with an electric heart.
In a country where ordinary citizens face daily challenges of security, economy and infrastructure, the appearance of a car worth over half a million euros on Ukrainian streets sounds almost like a farce. But it is a reality. From time to time, such cars appear in reports, in photographs or on social networks, as a reminder that even in the darkest times there is a place for brilliance, luxury and the desire to live on.
As our colleague from Ukrainska Pravda Mykhailo Tkach said: “In dark times, the light from a brand-new Rolls-Royce is very clearly visible.” And this phrase became a metaphor: Spectre really challenges the circumstances, contrasting with the reality of wartime days.
The 33 owners of these cars in Ukraine are not just premium-class customers. These are people who have retained the opportunity to afford extreme luxury in times of anxiety and instability. Who they are — businessmen, investors or TCC workers — will remain a mystery. But the fact remains: their Rolls-Royce Spectres have already become part of the urban landscape of warring Ukraine.
