Horacio Pagani's personal car crashed during the brand's rally (2 photos)
The special value of the car
One of the rarest Zondas has been involved in an accident, and this example has a special personal meaning. This supercar belongs to Horacio Pagani himself and was involved in an accident during the brand's annual "Raduno" trip around Italy. It is unclear who was driving it at the time of the incident.
Unlike many other models that were upgraded to the 760 series, this Zonda has remained in its original form, making it one of the most valuable in its line.
Ownership History
This car is the fourth of 25 Zonda F Roadsters produced by the Italian manufacturer. Its ownership history is as interesting as the car itself. It was originally purchased by Benny Caiola, Pagani’s first customer, after whom the Huayra BC is named. After Caiola’s death in 2010, the car entered the personal collection of Horacio Pagani.
Accident Details
Information about the accident is limited, but several images of the aftermath have surfaced on social media. The white roadster appears to have hit a stone wall on a narrow country road, with most of the damage to the rear. One image shows a blue van with a damaged front end nearby, suggesting possible contact between the two vehicles before the Pagani hit the wall.
Witnesses say that the crew quickly covered the damaged car with a black tarpaulin, but before that they managed to take photos that show that one of the rear wheels was displaced. Such damage indicates serious problems with the suspension under the carbon body.

Implications for the car
In addition, the engine cover is lifted and damaged, and the carbon bumper and diffuser are undoubtedly broken and will need repair. Interestingly, the front of the body is also fixed in an unusual position after the impact, which may indicate damage to it.
If this Zonda belonged to someone other than Horacio, it is likely that the owner would have sent it to Pagani for repairs and then upgraded to a 760 model. However, since the car belongs to the brand's founder himself, there is speculation that it will simply be restored to its original condition.

This case highlights how important the history of the car and its connection to the brand's founder is. Rare models like the Zonda F Roadster often become not only collectibles, but also symbols of the manufacturer's heritage. Restoring a car to its original condition, rather than upgrading it, can be a testament to the desire to preserve the authenticity and emotional value associated with the example.
