Humanoid robot knocked a man down during a race
The World Humanoid Robot Games have started in China. In one of the races, the Unitree H1 robot hit a man, but this did not stop it from finishing first.
The man fell, and the robot continued moving and successfully completed the 1,500-meter race.
According to online data, the cause of the collision was an error by the Unitree operator. During the race, he slowly handed over control to another operator, although the robot's path was not clear enough at that moment. A couple of seconds were enough for the robot to crash into the guy.
Despite the collision, the robot brought Unitree its first gold medal, covering the distance in 6 minutes and 34 seconds. The second participant, Walker from Lingyi, completed the distance in 12 minutes and 4 seconds.
The maximum speed of Unitree H1 can reach 5 m/s. The cost of the robot starts at $90 thousand.
