A Chinese robot demonstrates kung fu

The Chinese robot Unitree G1 can now perform kung fu moves. The control algorithms have been improved, and now the $16,000 humanoid mechanism not only cracks nuts and dances, but also demonstrates combat skills.

The company Unitree Robotics has taught its humanoid robot G1 to perform martial arts elements. In a new video, it demonstrates kung fu-style stances and kicks.

The robot costs $16,000 and can already do somersaults, dance, toast, and crack nuts. Now the developers have improved the balance and precision of movements, adding combat techniques to its repertoire.
