The updated version of the electric hypercar Yangwang U9 received a power plant of 3019 hp. (3 photos)
The main feature of the new model is its power plant, which produces an incredible 3,019 horsepower. This makes the Yangwang U9 one of the most powerful production electric cars in the world, surpassing even such famous competitors as the Lotus Evija and Rimac Nevera. The heart of this impressive system is a four-motor electric plant, where each engine produces 755 hp.
To effectively implement such high power, BYD engineers paid special attention to the aerodynamics of the car. The Yangwang U9 is equipped with a developed front splitter, a large rear diffuser and an active wing with an electric drive. These elements help optimize air flow and provide reliable traction at high speeds.
The hypercar's maximum speed is electronically limited to 350 km/h. Without the electronic collar, the U9 gets close to 400 km/h (391.94 km/h).
One of the key features of the Yangwang U9 is the innovative DiSus-X body control system.
This active suspension allows not only to automatically adjust the ground clearance, but also to change the height of each wheel individually.
Thanks to this, the hypercar is able to move on three wheels and even bounce on the spot.
Despite its extreme specifications, the Yangwang U9 also has a decent range on a single battery charge, which is 450 km.
In addition, the car supports ultra-fast charging technology, which allows you to replenish the battery energy from 30% to 80% in just ten minutes.
