In India, 2 brothers carried a 200-kg cow to the vet on their backs
Two brothers from the remote village of Kyari in Sirmaur district carried their sick cow, weighing around 200 kg, on their shoulders for almost three kilometers on a steep and slippery mountain path to take the animal to a veterinary clinic.
A video of their act was captured by an onlooker and later posted on social media.
“Two brothers. One sick cow. Three kilometers on a slippery, steep mountainous terrain. They didn’t complain. They just did what love and compassion told them to do — and saved her life. This is what humanity looks like. Respect,” the author of the post captioned the video.
The video quickly went viral, causing a wave of admiration and discussions on social media.
“We can judge the heart of a person by his treatment of animals,” wrote one of the users.
Many commentators demanded that the story be covered in national media, highlighting the contrast between such acts of kindness and cases of animal cruelty in major cities.
“These people need to be celebrated. Let the people of Delhi, Noida see this – this is what real treatment of living beings is,” the participants of the discussion said.
