A few days before Christmas, the California Wildlife Fund FFAWC received a phone call. They called from the Department of Fish (yes, there is one in California).
The fact is that passers-by discovered a very strange creature near the garbage cans.
According to eyewitnesses, it was completely bald and did not resemble any animal known to them. People were even afraid that it was the local “chupacabra”!
But in reality everything turned out to be much simpler. This little guy is just a bald bear cub!
Volunteers from FFAWS immediately began rescuing and rehabilitating the baby.
Doctors found out that baldness is caused by subcutaneous parasites. With their vital activity they poison the bear’s life and ultimately caused complete alopecia.
The rescuers tried to provide good conditions for the baby. Now her name is Eva, she eats a lot of the grapes she loves so much...
