A farmer in Vietnam saved a boy and a girl during a flood by pulling them out of the water with a large agrodrone.
Tran Van Nghia was operating an agrodrone when he suddenly heard a child crying for help from the Ba River.
He turned off the engine, ran towards the sound and saw that two children, aged 10 and 13, were stranded on a sandbank surrounded by a strong current. The depth in some places was about 5 m.
Without thinking twice, Nghia attached a strong rope to his drone and directed it towards the children. One of the men managed to reach the sandbank and tied ropes around each child. First, they pulled out the girl, then the boy.
"A drone worth more than 300 million dong can fall into the water at any time while transporting two children across the river. Property is not as important as the danger to the children's lives," said one of the workers who was at the scene with Nghia.
Nghia himself said that the drone is a family treasure that he values very much. However, the man believes that equipment can always be bought, but people's lives are more important.
