A Drunk Man Rides to the Police on a Horse Because He Was Banned from Driving
CCTV cameras captured the man driving his unusual vehicle into a police station parking lot in the evening.
Sitting in a horse-drawn carriage, the man waved as he slowly drove past one of the police stations.
As the man turned to enter the road, a police officer ran out of the building and began pursuing him. After stopping the driver, the officer noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from the man.
A breathalyzer found that the "driver" had more than 1.3% alcohol in his blood, which is significantly higher than the legal limit in Poland, which is 0.02%.
Journalists stressed that the man was already well known to the police. He had been arrested several times for drunk driving and is now banned from driving for life.
The police confirmed that he will appear in court again for his latest actions.
"Regardless of what kind of vehicle you use, you are legally obliged to remain sober and obey traffic rules. Not having a driver's license does not give you the right to look for "alternative" means of transportation - especially when intoxicated. Even driving a horse-drawn carriage requires full awareness and responsibility," stressed the spokesman for the local Polish police department.
