A road was built around a large tree in China

Residents of one Chinese town decided not to cut down an old tree and built a road right around it.
Residents of Wanxian (China) decided that there was no place for one of the oldest trees in the valley in the dustbin of history. So, instead of destroying the tree to improve the infrastructure, they decided to build a road around it. The builders, of course, hardly expected that their work would become a local landmark, but that is exactly what happened.
In the end, everyone won - nature was not harmed, the transport situation improved and, in addition, an incredibly beautiful landmark appeared in the valley.
