The rarest Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM convertible will be auctioned off (40 photos)

In the early 2000s, Mercedes-Benz launched a special version of the CLK model, dedicated to the brand's triumph in the 2003 DTM touring car racing season. The model is called the CLK DTM, and the total circulation of the modification was 180 units: 100 coupes and 80 convertibles. One of the latter will soon be auctioned off by the auction house Broad Arrow Auctions.





On the outside, the CLK DTM can be easily distinguished from the standard version of the model by its signature body kit with widening and unique 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear. The convertible's interior features a pair of carbon-fiber buckets trimmed in leather and Alcantara for the driver and front passenger, while the rear passengers are offered to sit on rather ascetic pads in molded carbon fiber panels.

The CLK DTM is powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged V8, producing more than 580 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The charged convertible is capable of exchanging the first hundred in 4 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 300 km/h.

This particular CLK DTM copy found its first owner in Germany in 2006, after which it went to South Korea, where it was part of a museum exhibition. In 2016, the convertible returned to Europe. Its odometer now shows only 22,000 kilometers. It is expected to fetch between 450,000 and 550,000 euros.
