Copy of Porsche 911 RSR 3.8 only with batteries (2 photos)
The British studio Everrati, which specializes in electric mods, showed a new work - an electric coupe that externally copies the iconic Porsche 911 RSR 3.8 in the 964 body. Porsche itself built only 51 of these sports cars, so the Everrati electric car is based on the platform of the regular 911 Carrera.
The British are turning old Porsche 911s into electric cars by removing the standard gasoline engines and installing new power electronics instead. This coupe is equipped with two electric motors on the rear axle, developing approximately 500 hp, and is capable of accelerating to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.7 seconds.
To maintain the factory weight distribution, the battery packs are evenly distributed throughout the body. Their total capacity is 63 kWh, due to which the sports car can travel up to 320 kilometers without recharging.
The main difference between this coupe and other battery-powered 911s from Everrati is the new appearance, achieved through alternative carbon fiber body parts. The British turned the electric car into a copy of the famous 911 RSR 3.8 from the first half of the 1990s, which is considered one of the most honored representatives of the model family. The electric mod's equipment also includes 18-inch HRE wheels, lightweight leather-trimmed seats, a media system and a half-roll cage instead of a rear sofa. The cost of the electric car has not been announced.
In addition to the Porsche 911, the studio also takes on other vintage models. For example, last spring Everrati electrified the classic W113 Mercedes-Benz SL, also known as the Pagoda. The original Porsche 911 RSR 3.8 costs more than a million dollars. In November, $2,127,500 was paid at auction for one of the two existing sports cars of this model, adapted for public roads.
