Ukrainian football player given yellow card for arguing in Russian
During the Ukrainian Women's Premier League match between the Odessa team "Sisters" and "Kolos" from Kovalivka, Kyiv region, the first team's midfielder Irina Maiborodina received a yellow card for arguing with the referee on the field in Russian.
In the 43rd minute of the match, referee Anastasia Romanyuk interrupted the game because Maiborodina took the ball from her opponents while trying to put it into play with a throw-in from the sideline and was clearly wasting time. After Romanyuk's whistle, the Sisters athlete began to complain, for which she received a warning.
