In Vietnam, a taxi driver refused to take money for the ride from a young man accompanying his mother after hemodialysis. When the son pulled out his wallet to pay, the taxi driver asked him to save the money for medication.
According to the driver, the family needed the money more than the fare. Furthermore, he suggested the young man call him directly next time, promising to take the woman to the hospital for the necessary procedures free of charge.
