They attached a banner to the spire with the inscription, "When the power of love surpasses the love of power, there will be peace on earth." Afterward, Birkus proposed to Nicolaou.
However, after their descent, the couple was arrested and now faces a number of charges, including trespassing, intentional damage to property, and more. They could face up to 10 years in prison.
