After a 3–2 victory over Senegal, the Norwegian national team players sat on the pitch in front of the stands where their fans were gathered and mimicked rowing an ancient Viking longship—a *drakkar*.

The *drakkar* rowing celebration has become popular among Norwegian fans since the start of the World Cup. The rowing takes place everywhere: in stadiums during matches, on the streets of American cities, and even in the Norwegian parliament.

After one of the matches, the players joined the fans in the celebration.
