Human vanity has officially hit another low, and this time, it's prehistoric. In Paris, the Giquello auction attempted to sell the world's first bag made from lab-grown "Tyrannosaurus skin." Biotechnologists and designers from the Enfin Levé brand spent a quarter of a century tinkering with collagen molecules extracted from a 67-million-year-old T-Rex femur to ultimately create a bag. The scientists proudly claim that, using AI, they gave cells "instructions" and grew 100% T-Rex skin without any animal husbandry. However, the scientific community quickly cooled the marketers' ardor: paleontologists rightly pointed out that we don't have T-Rex skin, and the DNA had to be supplemented with proteins from ordinary chicken. Wealthy connoisseurs of luxury also didn't appreciate this dubious hybrid of science and the fashion industry. The auction organizers naively expected to fetch between €300,000 and €500,000 for the lot, but during the auction, bids only reached €150,000. Ultimately, the creators were forced to shamefully withdraw the undercooked "overgrown chicken" from the auction after failing to reach the reserve price. Now, a unique device made from prehistoric biomaterial sadly awaits its mad millionaire in private.
