Abnormal luck: Redditor collected a collection of 463 four-leaf clovers in 1 hour (7 photos)
A Reddit user stunned the community with her phenomenal success, discovering a giant, anomalous patch of four-leaf clovers. The author of the post didn't just find a rare symbol of good luck, the chance of encountering which in nature is estimated at 1 in 10,000, but also assembled an entire collection of 463 mutated plants in exactly one hour. With her achievement, she surpassed the official Guinness World Record set by Gabriella Gerhardt in 2019, who managed to find only 451 clovers in the same 60 minutes. Due to the lack of paid, official observers on site, the record will remain unofficial, but the American admits she is incredibly proud of this remarkable achievement. The newly-crowned record holder gave her readers detailed instructions on how to find rare four-leaf clovers:
Look in clusters: the genetic mutation occurs at the very root, so if you find one such clover, there are guaranteed to be others on the same creeping shoot.
Choose the right locations: it's best to search in small areas with varying grass heights and large leaves, especially at the edges of patches near sidewalks, where the plants create contrast and stand out.
Follow the pattern: on clover varieties with light stripes on the leaves, it's much easier to spot the "four-leaf diamond" among the usual three-leaf triangles.
Vary your viewing angle: if a clearing seems promising, walk around it in a circle, crouch down, and look from different angles to spot hidden layers underneath.
Be patient: the mutation isn't present everywhere, so if your search takes too long, simply change locations. If you find a good spot, be sure to remember it and check again, as the root will continue to produce rare specimens.
