Guinea Pig Gets into the Guinness Book of Records by Learning to Jump Over a Bar (3 photos + 1 video)
The pig learned to jump high thanks to her owner, 13-year-old Zoe Hearn. Zoe began developing the pig's abilities after a friend wondered if rodents could jump.
Zoe's parents built a safe wooden barrier for the pig, laid out towels, and the training began. Zoe showed Cora blueberries or lettuce, and over time, the pig learned to successfully jump over bars of varying heights.
It later became clear that Cora's talent was unique, and her jumps over the bar were demonstrated to representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records.
Cora jumped over a bar approximately 26.6 cm high. This is currently a record for guinea pigs.
According to Zoe, Cora enjoys listening to her play the violin and hanging out with her other guinea pigs, Coco and Chloe.
