A Polish boy became the first person in the world to officially solve a Rubik's Cube in 2.76 seconds. For many years, the three-second barrier was considered the limit of human ability in this discipline.
Previously, only a robot had solved a Rubik's Cube in under 3 seconds:
"A Mitsubishi Electric robot solved a Rubik's Cube in a third of a second—the robot took 0.305 seconds. A human would only have time to blink in that time. Breaking the previous record set by a machine from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the robot entered the Guinness Book of World Records."
