A unique Bugatti Chiron Super Sport put up for auction (43 photos)
Bonhams is auctioning another Bugatti Chiron, a one-off custom-made Super Sport model with the Elephant Blanc (White Elephant) designation. The car is less than two years old, and experts estimate its final price will be between $4.5 and $5 million.
The car's creators were inspired by the pre-war Bugatti Type 41 Royale. Its mascot was an elephant, so the modern car's nickname has a historical basis. Elephants are also embroidered on the headrests.
The exterior is painted Glacier White, while the interior is entirely French Racing Blue. This 2024 hypercar has never been idle, and has a mileage of 4,450 kilometers. As befits a car of this class and status, the Chiron is in pristine, collector-grade condition.
The engine is standard: a quad-turbo W16 produces 1,600 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 1,600 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the hypercar is all-wheel drive. The top speed of the Chiron Super Sport is limited to 440 km/h.
