Bugatti showed one of the latest Chiron hypercars (4 photos)
Bugatti is nearing the complete completion of production of hypercars from the Chiron family: the circulation of base models has already been completely exhausted, but the assembly of individual derivatives is still ongoing. One of the latest Chiron Super Sport, for example, was a coupe with a unique exterior color and a bright orange interior.
On the outside, the Chiron Super Sport is painted in a shade specially developed for this example, called Vert Jade. It is combined with black body decor: among other things, the radiator grille is darkened and has original vertical slats.
The interior is finished in a combination of Tangerine leather, polished aluminum and carbon fiber. While the leather on the chairs is traditionally stitched, the inserts on the door panels are made by weaving thin leather strips. In addition, the interior is decorated with embroidery depicting an elephant standing on its hind legs - a reference to the famous Rembrandt Bugatti sculpture, the image of which the company occasionally uses in the design of its cars and accessories.
No changes were made to the power plant. The Chiron Super Sport is equipped with an eight-liter W16 developing 1,600 hp. and 1600 Nm, and its maximum speed is forcibly limited to 380 km/h. At the same time, in 2019, Bugatti at the Volkswagen test site was able to accelerate a prototype with a similar engine to 490.484 km/h - this result can be considered a record for the maximum speed among production cars.
