Police rush to the rescue
In Columbus, Ohio, police officer Kaitlin Robinson was so rushed to respond to a call on the night of December 7th to a woman threatening to shoot her drunken son, who was breaking into her home, that she drove through a red light and rammed a pickup truck. The 30-year-old driver was thrown out the window and died in the hospital a couple of hours later. The condition of the woman who called 911 remains unclear. Two perspectives.
Local media report that Robinson's driving behavior "does not comply with Columbus Police Department policy, even with her lights and siren activated."
According to their calculations, there were 137 police-involved crashes in the city last year, costing taxpayers $550,000.
