Somewhere between the harsh Norwegian fjords and the endless Chinese shipyards, a strange hybrid has emerged—a massive floating farm, dubbed "Havfarm 1" in the paperwork. Yes, it was born in China, but it's already operating in northern waters, as if it was meant to be.
If you look at it from the outside, you might not even realize it's something like a farmyard stretched almost the size of four football fields. 385 meters long. Almost 60 meters wide. A gigantic metal intestine, within which lives the future of the salmon industry. This behemoth is said to be capable of feeding up to ten thousand tons of fish in a single cycle. It sounds unusual—so much weight, so many creatures, contained within a structure that behaves like part ship, part farm. Sometimes it even seems as if it breathes with the sea.
