In Congo, a wooden bridge built for $2 million collapsed on the very first day after its opening. Local residents were filming the opening ceremony, but at one point the bridge collapsed.
First, a delegation of several dozen people, some carrying flags, ceremoniously steps onto the new bridge. About halfway through, the structure gives way under the weight, and the people fall into the water.
According to local media, the construction of this wooden bridge cost a whopping $2 million, and the project was handled by a company linked to the country's president.
