The "Area 21" ecomuseum in Cusco - a meeting place for Andean gods and aliens (20 photos + 1 video)

While Nevada's famous Area 51 is surrounded by barbed wire and guarded by the military, this open-air exhibit in Peru welcomes every traveler.





Hinting at the imminent visit of guests from other worlds, tourists are greeted by signs provocatively reading "Free Abduction" and an impressive UFO sculpture.



Located on a hill on the outskirts of Cusco, Peru, this gallery allows you to take photos with a legion of aliens of the most bizarre shapes and sizes, arriving from all corners of the galaxy.





However, this is more than just a kitschy roadside attraction for content creation. An interactive art installation by artist Tupac Camari Candia skillfully blends Peruvian folklore and science fiction, revealing the local culture's deep connection to the cosmos.



Andean motifs permeate the entire ecopark, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in legends of celestial beings, passed down from generation to generation by locals. Among the exhibits are also sculptures of ancient Paracas and Inca mummies, which not only showcase the region's rich heritage but also suggest the possible influence of extraterrestrials on the development of great past civilizations.



This unique place is ideal for an educational walk. But while studying extraterrestrial art, it wouldn't hurt to be vigilant, as the promised free abductions have not been cancelled.
