A Korean MP drew a gorilla at a parliamentary meeting (1 photo + 2 videos)
In South Korea, a member of parliament was caught drawing a gorilla. The man was painstakingly copying the primate from an online template during a meeting on real estate audits.
The member of parliament ignored the information about the real estate audit, instead searching for "gorilla" and began drawing the primate, mimicking the image on the screen. However, Yoo Young-ha didn't just sketch the image; he focused on its execution, and later began coloring the entire image, the publication reports.
The footage of Yoo Young-ha's work was widely shared in the South Korean blogosphere, and the member of parliament was eventually forced to apologize. Initially, commenting on the incident, he told reporters that his actions "were of no consequence." He then apologized for the incident.
As noted, Yoo Young Ha is a critic of rising housing prices in South Korea. He previously stated that "homeowners are concerned" about rising prices, while the President of South Korea is not addressing increasing demand. However, during the meeting, where the deputy indulged in drawing, the issue of rental housing was discussed.
