British mothers threw themselves a banquet at a restaurant and fled without paying the bill (6 photos + 1 video)
On the evening of October 5th, a group of four women and their children gathered at Cheers restaurant in Norwich. The guests enjoyed a hearty dinner but failed to pay the hefty bill, which included steaks, desserts, and cocktails. The owner, Andrea Marinho, was forced to pay £312 out of her own pocket. 
Norfolk Police shared photos of the suspects and asked anyone who recognizes them to come forward with information.
The mothers spent only £71.50 on 11 shots of Baileys. 
Andrea Marinho said the staff didn't notice anything suspicious when the women and their two children arrived without a reservation.
She explained: "They were eating a lot, ordering different dishes, and seemed to be having a party. The guests were drinking a lot of alcohol: beer, cocktails, shots. But they didn't appear drunk. And they were all well dressed."
The group spent two hours in the restaurant and then fled.
CCTV captured four women leaving the establishment one after another before staff noticed their disappearance and gave chase.
A waiter saw the women running down the street and shouted, "You haven't paid your bill." The police were then called.
Marinho added: "I was very upset. We opened in January and are just starting out in the city. In the first few months, you have to overcome difficulties and attract customers. And then this happens. I have to pay the bill from the profits. We're still adapting, and people think they can come in, eat for £300, and leave."
This incident occurred a few weeks after the couple visited three restaurants in four days and failed to pay their bills totaling £500.
Lauren Halliday and her boyfriend enjoyed fine dining at upscale Newcastle restaurants like Victors, Hula, and Lui's. However, the freeloaders came up with several clever excuses to avoid paying the bill. They allegedly forgot to return after going out for a smoke and also encountered problems with their banking apps.
