He also wrote a letter of apology to the bar owner.
In 2008, a man and his friends ran away from the Simposio bar in the northern Italian city of Trento without paying the bill. 15 years later, he sent bar owner Andrea Bosilio a letter of apology and 30 euros in an envelope.
“On a Saturday night 15 years ago, I came here and had a few glasses of wine with friends. Just for fun, we ran away without paying. It made us criminals. That’s why I haven’t entered your bar since that day,” the man’s letter says.
The author clarified that the amount of money in the envelope was four times more than what he had to pay in 2008. “I will leave it to you to decide whether you accept my apology or not. We will see each other again, because now I will return to the bar with my head held high,” the man wrote.
The owner of the bar, Andrea Bosizio, wrote on his social network that the day he received this letter was one of the best in all 18 years of his work in the bar. Bosilio specified that he was waiting for the author of the letter with “open arms to drink a glass of good wine and thank him personally.”
