British actor Rowan Atkinson, known for his role in the TV series "Mr. Bean," has put his 1963 Jaguar E-Type up for sale. The car starred in the film "Man Versus the Bee." The sports car will be auctioned by Iconic Auctioneers in early November.

This first-series coupe was built in 1963. It was one of the first examples painted in Opalescent Gunmetal, the color in which the E-Type debuted at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show. The coupe originally had left-hand drive and was delivered to a customer in the United States.

In 1989, Jaguar returned to the UK. It was converted to right-hand drive, the interior was completely redone, and a chrome kit and sports exhaust system were installed. The sports car still has its original engine block, although the cylinder head was replaced.

The 3.8-liter straight-six produces 265 hp and is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The new Jaguar E-Type claimed a top speed of 240 km/h (150 mph). The sports car accelerated from 0-60 mph in approximately 7 seconds.

In 2022, Rowan Atkinson drove this car in the film "Man Versus the Bee." The car suffered several body damages. One of them was deliberately left untouched—it now serves to highlight the two-door's film heritage. The Jaguar E-Type belongs to the actor and is sold in his name.
