The new Apollo Evo supercar with a V12 is unveiled (9 photos)
Apollo, the successor to the once-famous German brand Gumpert, has unveiled a new project called the Evo. This is the production version of the supercar announced back in 2021, featuring an exaggeratedly extravagant design and a V12 engine. Only 10 of these track-only cars will be built, with deliveries beginning next year.
The Apollo Evo's unusual appearance is shaped by multiple edges intersecting at sharp angles and smooth curves. In addition to various aerodynamic flaps, the supercar features two tail fins, which apparently act as stabilizers. There are no interior images yet, but it is known that the cabin will be accessed through butterfly doors. Access to the engine compartment is similarly designed.
The Apollo Evo is based on a 165-kilogram carbon fiber monocoque, and the supercar itself weighs 1.3 tons. The new model is powered by a 6.3-liter V12 producing 800 hp and 765 Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission and can accelerate the supercar to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 335 km/h.
Deliveries will begin to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Gumpert Apollo, which also boasted an unusual appearance for its time and was once considered the fastest production car on the Nürburgring.
