A real rat epidemic has hit the prestigious New York suburb of Huntington.
According to the New York Post, the average household income in Huntington has increased by 22.8%. Prosperity has attracted uninvited tailed guests. Hordes of rats have filled the center of Huntington, scaring even restaurant customers.
"Guests come in, have lunch in our courtyard, and see little animals running around the street. It would be nice if they disappeared," said the manager of one of the cafes.
City officials have stated that if the source of the infestation is on private property, the responsibility for getting rid of the rodents will fall on the property owner.
