Police arrested the delivery man and brought the pizza themselves (4 photos + 1 video)
An Arizona resident was surprised when she saw police officers with pizza on her doorstep. It turned out that the delivery man had been arrested, so her order was brought by law enforcement officers.
Tempe police shared a story of how two responsible officers provided a citizen with dinner. On July 4, at about 10 p.m., law enforcement officers detained a driver who had started a race on the road. They soon realized that he was delivering an order from GrubHub for a certain Brandy. Having found out the woman's address, the police found themselves in front of her apartment. They rang the bell and waited patiently for a few minutes for the owner.
Brandy, clearly confused, hesitantly said hello.
"How are you doing?" the officer asked with a slight smile, handing her the food. "The GrubHub delivery man got arrested, but we brought the pizza."
"It should still be warm," the second officer added. According to the video, no more than 15 minutes passed from the time the driver was arrested to the delivery to the apartment.

On Saturday, the department proudly posted a video of the unusual incident, writing, “When the delivery driver was arrested, our officers made sure the order got to the customer. We are committed to serving our community 24/7, whether it’s security or pizza delivery!”

On social media, many viewers were shocked by the officers’ decision. They, like Brandy, felt it was beyond their scope of service.
"I would be surprised too if this was my order," one wrote. Another added, "Everything is legit... Security and service are done properly."
