Ford F-600 turned into a luxury armored car with a Mercedes-Maybach-style interior (7 photos)

American company Alpine Armoring presented the Condor armored vehicle. It is described as a luxury tactical SUV and is based on the chassis of the Ford F-600 Heavy Duty pickup truck. The premium interior of the Condor with separate seats like in Mercedes-Maybach cars is combined with a brutal design and a protection level of B6+: accordingly, the SUV will protect against fire from Kalashnikov assault rifles of various calibers and M16 rifles.





The Condor from Alpine Armoring retains the standard power unit of the Ford F-600 pickup truck. This is a 6.7-liter diesel V8, developing 330 horsepower. However, the body panels of the SUV are completely new, made of ballistic steel and giving the Condor a deliberately menacing appearance. The fuel tank, battery and underbody are also protected, which can withstand the simultaneous detonation of two hand grenades. Military tires are resistant to punctures.

The Condor weighs almost 9 tons, and the developers assure that the suspension has been modified in accordance with the significantly increased weight.

The Condor is 6150 millimeters long with a wheelbase of 3696 millimeters. The dimensions of the SUV made it possible to organize three rows of seats in its cabin, but the middle ones are folding seats. The main passengers are considered to be the rear row, for whom "captain's" chairs are provided. The interior is finished with expensive types of leather and natural wood and includes a ceiling in the style of "starry sky".

Alpine Armoring does not name the cost of its armored vehicle.
