Luxury restomod based on the 1968 Ford Mustang (7 photos)
The American company Velocity presented an unusual restomod based on the 1968 Ford Mustang. The car, with a new top, a larger engine and a redesigned chassis, was priced at $229,900.
The standard power unit of the convertible is replaced with a modern V8 Coyote, which, with a volume of 5 liters, develops 460 hp. and 570 Nm. The restomod customer will be able to choose a transmission between a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic.
The chassis is upgraded with Fox coilovers, a new rear axle, and Baer brakes with 11-inch discs. Other equipment includes LED optics, Borla exhaust and 17-inch wheels of vintage design.
The interior is completely re-trimmed with leather and equipped with an air conditioning system, new Procar seats and other devices that retain the analogue style. Finally, Velocity's restomod features a new convertible top with modern servos that comes in brown, black or cream.
