Existing in a single copy of TVR Speed 12 will be sold under the hammer (24 photos)
Auction house Silverstone plans to put up for auction at the end of May auction supercar TVR Speed 12, which was built in the only instance. It is noteworthy that a very powerful car was approved for public roads. 
An unused body was taken to create a road car racing version. It is made of lightweight Kevlar, so the whole car weighs no more than a ton. Cockpit with roll cage and bucket chairs as ascetic as possible. It has no attributes of comfort, including soundproofing.
The 7.7-liter V12 engine develops, according to various sources, 840 or 880 horsepower. It is paired with a 6-speed "mechanics" and drives the rear wheels. On a set of 60 mph (97 km/h) car it takes less than three seconds. The maximum speed is 386 km/h.
There is no preliminary estimate of the cost of the lot, but it is expected that trades will generate a lot of interest. TVR cars are rare in their own right. Here it is offered unique even by the standards of this brand.
Last fall, the TVR Trident sports car went under the hammer. IN In 1965, only four of these cars were assembled: three coupes and one cabriolet. The copy put up for auction was bought for 76.5 thousand pounds sterling (93.3 thousand dollars).
