Captured Russian soldier Nikolai Kartashev, who is currently awaiting a court verdict in a Kiev pretrial detention center for the murder of a civilian in Bucha, admitted that in the event of an exchange he would go to fight against Ukraine for the third time because it is necessary to "finish off Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye." This is stated in the article "Slidstva.Info" "5 Crimes in Bucha: Confession of a Russian Soldier", reports Censor.NET.

Nikolai Kartashev is a soldier of the 234th Regiment of the 76th Airborne Assault Division of the Russian Federation, which is stationed in the city of Pskov. Six months after Kartashev served under contract, he was sent for training in Belarus, and from there - to the war against Ukraine.

In particular, on February 27, 2022, Pskov paratroopers, including Nikolai Kartashev, captured Bucha in the Kiev region. Soldiers from the 76th Division committed dozens of war crimes.

After leaving the Kyiv region, Kartashev decided to desert.

A criminal case was opened against him in Russia. The man received a year of probation for leaving a military unit without knowledge. However, he soon received a summons and again ended up in the 234th regiment of the 76th airborne assault division of the Russian Federation.

On February 6, 2023, near Kremennaya in the Luhansk region, Kartashev was captured by Ukrainian soldiers. For a year and a half, the occupier has been sitting in a pre-trial detention center, where he is awaiting a court verdict for the murder of a civilian in Bucha.

Despite the atrocities committed and seen in Bucha, during an interview with a journalist from "Slidstva.Info" Kartashev claims that in the event of an exchange, he wants to go to war against Ukraine again:

- So what is the purpose of going to war again?

- To take revenge. I will not say who.

- To someone specifically or in general?

- In general.

- To whom? To Ukraine?

- If it works out.

- If it works out, then what should happen? A complete occupation of Ukraine?

- Well, there won't be a complete occupation, but we'll take a lot.

- How much is a lot?

- At least finish off Kherson, Zaporozhye and Donetsk. Well, I don't know about there.

- And don't you think about the fact that civilians in those cities might not be happy to see you? They're not happy to see you there. This is Ukraine.

- Let them leave.

- What do you mean, let them leave? This is their land, their homeland.

- Now they are in the Constitution of Russia.

- Why? On what grounds?

- Well, Russia wanted it that way... - the occupier claims in an interview.

For the murder of a civilian, Nikolai Kartashev faces up to 12 years in prison. The occupier will serve his sentence in a Ukrainian colony if he is not included in the prisoner exchange lists.

In addition, Kartashev "handed over" to the official investigation his accomplices and commanders who were involved in torture, rape and murder in the city.
