An Air India plane flying from Chicago to Delhi turned around and flew back. The reason was that passengers clogged 11 of the 12 toilets on board. About 300 passengers managed to spend 10 hours in the sky.
The incident occurred on March 5 with a Boeing 777-300ER flying from Chicago to Delhi with three hundred passengers on board. It is noted that the flight to the capital of India was supposed to last 14 hours. The airliner flew over Canada and Greenland before the captain decided to stop the flight.
As a result, the aircraft was turned back over the Atlantic and returned to the departure airport due to a technical issue. It turned out that out of a dozen toilets on board, only one in business class remained operational.
The incident became a topic of discussion in the aviation community. Experts are confident that the situation when all the toilets are overcrowded indicates problems in aircraft maintenance.
