Japanese "insult cafe" offers customers ultra-humiliation (7 photos)

I'm afraid that I'll come to Japan, go to the first cafe I come across, and they'll give me a slap on the wrist. Because this isn't the first themed cafe in Japan in this theme.

The female models are all taken from an online show about insults

I love all sorts of unusual Japanese cafes, so I've already written about slap cafes, where you buy slaps from girls. Or cafes of muscle girls who can compete with you in arm wrestling. And here's another facet of madness - a humiliation cafe.

What will you be offered at the insult cafe

Is the creeping middle-aged man on the poster at the entrance the target audience?

The Bato Cafe Omokenashi establishment opened in the very center of Tokyo in mid-September based on the idea of Japanese producer and influencer Nobuyuki Sakuma. He had a similar show online: he invited pretty young women to insult a group of comedians. Those who laughed or took offense less were considered the winners. Weird... but okay, as they say.

The cafe looks very decent from the outside – girls in pink aprons, delicious dishes from a Michelin chef… and then the waitresses start to swear at the customers!

A special expression on a woman’s face when she’s making fun of you

“Just order, pig,” they rush the customer, but the point is in the Japanese they use.

Usually the polite form of Japanese for service personnel is keigo, but here the cute girls speak almost gangster slang.

After a reporter who came to test the place ordered a pork and rice dish for 3,590 yen, the maid said: "You'll be eating your own kind." How cruel! Do they train them in the back room? Or did they just invite the most dangerous evil that can exist in the universe - ordinary women!

There's even a stage where they can call you to public mockery.

And while the customer was waiting for his dish, the waitress kept coming back to him with comments:

"What's with that hairstyle? Do you think you're cool or what? What kind of T-shirt are you wearing? It's so tasteless."

Then he was served food without chopsticks because "pigs don't use chopsticks." The cafe had about 10 abusive waitresses serving customers at a time.

Here's an example of their Michelin-starred food. It must be delicious

Customers take home souvenir photos of themselves being mistreated by cute waitresses dressed in maid uniforms.

Who likes it

The show was actually popular in Japan, so yeah, I like it. It's like you get to experience the show's participants.

A haughty look at someone who asked for sauce

According to Sakuma, the cafe is popular not only with customers, but also with waitresses, since Japanese service workers are usually required to offer customers almost servile service. Therefore, the girls often suffer from unreasonable requests from aggressive customers.

Each customer could only "enjoy" the offensive service for one hour, and had to book in advance. Otherwise, there would be no seats!

The establishment also offers a paid "VIP service" that includes slaps with slippers on the face and bottom.

VIP-slipper blow, the girl is really beautiful, apparently, it's all something masculine...

It was also possible to eat without being insulted! You just have to say at the entrance that you don't want all that. You can just book a table and watch others being bullied. Such clients are given a "no violence" card on the table.

The show's organizer Sakuma himself thinks that this is a temporary project, he will soon get bored and want to conquer new offensive heights. Considering that all his projects are connected with this, I don't even know... can you expect a public bath with bullying next time?
