Bedbugs bit a pilot in a hotel, but the administrator sided with the bloodsuckers (4 photos + 1 video)
A bloody bed drama unfolded in one of the hotels in Idaho Falls, USA.
Private jet pilot Jack K. stopped to spend the night at the FairBridge Inn & Suites after a flight. Nothing foreshadowed trouble, the tired man fell into bed and immediately fell asleep. But the local bugs did not waste time, while the pilot was sleeping, they managed to bite him more than 80 times.
He woke up in the morning and discovered that he had spent the night in the company of bloodsuckers, who had given him a hearty dinner. Realizing that the situation had clearly gotten out of control, he went to the administrator in anger, who, unfortunately for the pilot, frankly did not care. After all, bedbugs are allowed there.
Then Jack called a doctor, who came to the room in a paper protective suit, examined the bites, shrugged his shoulders and left. The persistent pilot contacted the health department and was shocked to learn that the spread of bedbugs is not regulated in the state.
"Bed bugs are generally not considered a public health issue because they are not known to spread disease," said A.J. McWhorter, a spokesman for the Idaho Department of Health. "They may just cause itching and insomnia."

It turns out that local and state health departments are not responsible for the criminal acts of bed bugs in hotels, even if they bite guests.
If a hotel is extremely unsanitary, no one will close it down; at most, the owners will provide recommendations to the hotel on how to fix the problem. Public health departments have very limited resources to combat the problem, and bedbugs are often not considered a priority.
Jack recorded his overnight guests in the morning.
If locals start poisoning the bedbugs, they simply migrate to other areas of the city.
Chewed pilot posts angry post on social media:
“I spend an average of eight months a year in hotels, have been flying for over a decade, and have never had any contact with bedbugs. The scariest thing is that it spreads like this. I check out, throw my bag on the plane and head off to my next destination.”
Whether he took a couple of local bloodsuckers with him in his things is not specified.
