Alec Baldwin was found not guilty of the murder of a cameraman (2 photos + 1 video)
The tragedy occurred on October 21, 2021. Then, on the set of the film “Rust,” the actor mortally wounded the film’s cameraman Galina Hutchins. 
From the filming location, Bonanza Creek Ranch, the victim was rushed to a New Mexico clinic, but the 42-year-old woman died from her wounds, and 48-year-old director Joel Sauce was injured.
Actor Alec Baldwin was charged with manslaughter. He did not admit his guilt. According to the assistant director, the actor was informed that the gun he used on set did not contain live ammunition. But the shooting continued to be investigated.
A court later found weapons specialist Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who worked on the film, guilty of manslaughter. She received 18 months in prison.

In January 2024, the sensational precedent in 2021 was returned for consideration in New Mexico. The actor was again charged with manslaughter.
Today the court sided with Baldwin. The actor was found innocent. Finally. The prosecutor's office will no longer be able to appeal the decision. Judge Mary Marlowe Summer concluded that there were serious errors in evidence during the trial.
During the hearing, Erlinda Johnson, one of two prosecutors on the case, announced her resignation. Her colleague, Kari Morrissey, offered her services as a defense witness. After hearing her testimony, the judge decided to dismiss the case with prejudice.
