Tuners have created a “hypertruck” with the appearance of a Land Rover Defender (15 photos)
The Californian company Scarbo Vintage, responsible for Ken Block's Hoonipigasus, presented its new project. It was the SV Rover SUV. At the same time, the creators claim that their brainchild became the founder of a new class of cars - hypertrucks. The expected price starts at $1.5 million. 
In fact, the SV Rover is built around a space frame covered in carbon fiber panels. Its suspension has over 760mm of travel and its chassis is fully steering. The SUV rests on the ground with 40-inch tires on 20-inch wheels, and braking is handled by 400mm carbon-ceramic brake discs with 6-piston Brembo calipers.
The SV Rover can be driven by one of two power plants. For lovers of traditional internal combustion engines, there is a 1115-horsepower compressor 6.2-liter V8 located exactly behind the driver. The company is not talking about the origin of the unit, but it is likely a heavily modified unit from GM. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system with lockable front and rear differentials.
For those who want to get a more environmentally friendly car, an electric power plant with a capacity of 750 kW or about 1020 horsepower is offered, which is powered by a battery pack with a capacity of 75 kWh. The power reserve is not announced.
The two-seater interior of the car is greeted with a combination of Alcantara and aluminum, sports buckets, an audio system with 10 speakers and air conditioning, as well as a pair of displays: a 12.3-inch instrument panel and a 12.8-inch media complex.
There is no information yet about the launch date of the model.
