The kei car was turned into a miniature copy of the Ferrari F40 (9 photos)
Known for its ultra-wide body kits, Liberty Walk has presented an extravagant project. Taking as a basis the elderly kei car Autozam AZ-1, once developed by Mazda, the tuners, using a body kit, optics and new wheels, turned it into a small copy of the Ferrari F40. Some components of this tuning kit can already be purchased, but the transformation will not be cheap - at least $36,900. 
In fact, Japanese tuners created a new body for the AZ-1. The body kit includes a hood, a developed front bumper with canards, wheel arch extensions and powerful side sills. The rear of the coupe was redesigned with an impressive wing and diffuser, and stampings in the style of the NACA air ducts used on the F40 appeared on the door panels.
For a set of new body parts, Liberty Walk will ask $22,600, excluding paint and installation costs. For another $14,300, you can buy the set of forged wheels of different sizes shown in the photo: 16-inch wheels are used on the front axle, and 17-inch wheels on the rear axle.
The demonstration sample of the “supercar” is equipped with new optics. The front part has headlights that practically copy the lighting technology of the Italian coupe, while the rear part has round lights. At the same time, Liberty Walk specifically notes that optics are not yet included in the package. The price of the new exhaust, the triple tips of which are located in the center of the rear bumper, just like the original from Maranello, has not been announced. Finally, in the photo you can see the sports seats in the AZ-1's interior, but their tuners are not mentioned at all.
Mazda produced the Autozam AZ-1 in the first half of the 1990s. The small mid-engine coupe with gullwing doors was equipped with a 657 cc, 63 liter engine. With. in combination with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
