Repair of LaFerrari was estimated at the cost of a new supercar (1 photo)
The Ferrari LaFerrari hybrid coupe, discontinued in 2016, can still be repaired using original parts. The publication Motor1 found out that the plant in Maranello is ready to restore supercars even after serious accidents - but it will not be cheap. In fact, the cost of repairs is close to the cost of a new car.
So, according to Scuderia Car Parts, a new monocoque for the LaFerrari will cost $1.07 million. For comparison, when new, this model cost about $1.4 million. At the same time, used copies, due to their rarity, are sometimes valued at $4 million.
Replacing the roof on a damaged LaFerrari will cost $140.6 thousand. The front subframe was estimated at 12.4 thousand - and you will have to buy 14 titanium screws for it, each of which costs $71.
The original production run of the Ferrari LaFerrari was 499 units. An additional, five hundredth car was built in 2016, when a major earthquake occurred in Italy: the company auctioned off the supercar in order to donate all the money to charity. As a result, the coupe earned $7 million—five times the base price.
