Raul Alexander, a 25-year-old native of El Salvador, performing with his colleague in the circus of the city of Hodmezovasarhely (Csongrad County, Hungary), could not stay on the wheel and fell from an 8-meter height.
The young Salvadoran lost consciousness after the fall, but miraculously suffered only a few bruises. Florian Richter, the circus director, explained that Raoul had placed his arms and legs incorrectly during the performance and could not stay in the wheel. Despite the incident, the gymnast plans to return to the stage.
