Nairobi hosted the Otamatsuri anime festival, bringing together thousands of anime, manga, and cosplay fans. Visitors dressed up as their favorite characters, took part in cosplay contests, posed for photos, played video games, sampled Japanese food, and danced to live performances by actual Japanese idols who traveled in for the event.
