The roof of a church collapsed during a service in the Mexican city of Ciudad Madero

According to the state Department of Safety, the accident is believed to have occurred as a result of a “structural failure.”

Debris is being cleared at the scene. However, the exact number of parishioners and church workers who were inside the building is unknown.

Seven people were killed and 10 more were injured.
