1992 Venturi 400 Trophy racing car put up for auction (51 photos + 2 videos)

This copy is one of 73 cars created for races in the Gentleman Drivers Trophy. The series was held throughout Europe on some of its most famous tracks as part of the monorac series conceived by Stefan Ratel, the man behind SRO motorsports group.




Originally painted blue and yellow, this Venturi 400 Trophy raced in 1992. In 1993 before get to Japan, the supercar was repainted in red. There's a new owner modified it to make it roadworthy common use. The car was even shown in the legendary television series Best Motoring.

Among the most notable modifications is the vented hood in style Venturi 600 LM, Brembo slotted disc brakes from Ferrari 355 Challenge, Ohlins adjustable coilovers with Swift springs and more other.

The car is still equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine, although it has also been modified. The engine is connected to a five-speed Porsche G50 manual transmission that transmits power to rear wheels BBS E88. Whether the power of the motor has changed is not reported.

The twin turbo Venturi 400 Trophy engine produced 408 hp. The mileage of the auction car is only 10,000 km.

The seller received this Venturi 400 Trophy for about six months back. The auction was organized by Bring a Trailer online auction. Rates accepted until August 8th.
